Two Britney Spears related books are about to be released by the end of the year and while the first is set to show the recovering artist in a good-loving light, the second promises to put all of her dirty laundry out in public.

Lynn Spears‘ book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World is officially set for a release in September. “When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,” says a spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles. “Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.”

Unlike expected the book “will not be a parenting book. It’s her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It’s a memoir.”

The second, and more troublesome book is titled Stalking Britney: Under Siege With Britney Spears and is written by reporter Ian Halperin. He promises to talk about Britney’s attempt to kill herself and will include more related ‘hater juice’.

Britney Spears spent her Tuesday afternoon at the Lisa Kline boutique in Beverly Hills and from there continued to the Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills where she met Mel Gibson for a dinner/chat/date. Britney stayed at the club till around 9:30, while Gibson hung around until about 11.

The real story, though, happened upon Britney’s arrival at the cigar club where photogs were just pushing it too much. At first they got into it with her bodyguards and later she kind of freaked out yelling “I’m Scared” as photogs swarmed around her.

According to a photog: “She looked pretty in her new Capri jeans a blue blouse, white shoes and a brown bag, she looked like a doll with bright red lipstick,” said the photog, who described her as “very quiet” and “with a serious look on her face as she walked in to the Havana Club.”

Today on The View, the ladies started talking about the current relationship between Britney Spears and Mel Gibson, and how he’s been counseling her and offering her support. Most recently, Britney and Mel got together at an exclusive Beverly Hills cigar club. They stayed there for a few hours, chatting, and then left separately.

One of the co-hosts, Joy Behar, doesn’t agree with this mentorship, claiming that he’s not a good example for her to be aspiring to and that he’s an anti-semite.

What do you think? Is he being a good friend and helping her get her life back in order or is he really the wrong person to be doing that, considering his track record with drunk driving and racial slurs?

So much for Britney’s “hot and blond” brief appearance in “When I Grow Up”. Britney Spears’ cameo has been cut from the new Pussycat Dolls video. No one from the Pussycat Dolls‘ representatives have commented on the sudden removal of the scene and Britney’s reps have kept quiet as well.

The scene involved Britney driving a car and passing the group, waving to each other. There was no singing, dancing or other interacting beyond that.

Maybe they just decided it didn’t work for the vision they had for the video. It’s too bad though, it was one more back-to-showbiz step for Britney.

It was quite unexpected when last week, rumors began to circulate on the Internet that Ashley Tisdale was dying of AIDS.  And now her mom is speaking out about it.

Last Thursday (June 5th) blogs began running an unconfirmed/unsourced ‘news story’ that the 22-year-old High School Musical cutie had been diagnosed with HIV due to ‘contaminated equipment’ used during her rhinoplasty surgery.

She’s been blasting stereotypes and societal norms ever since her MTV reality show A Shot at Love first hit the airwaves.  And now Tila Tequila is taking credit for the State of California’s decision to drop the ban on gay marriage.

At the Hollywood premiere of “The Love Guru” last night at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Tila told press, “Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships].  Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal.”
