After enjoying a short-yet-eventful holiday weekend break, Lindsay Lohan was back to work on the set of “Labor Pains” in Los Angeles on Monday (July 7).

Wearing a purple dress with a white buttondown sweater overtop complimented by a pair of matching purple sandals, the “Mean Girls” starlet filmed a few scenes before carrying her lunch over to a quiet eating spot.

Continuing to spend each and every day together, Kate Hudson and boyfriend Lance Armstrong took his children (Luke and twins Isabelle and Grace) to the park on Monday (July 7).

According to sources on the scene, the group was there for a summer tennis camp, although it looks as if Miss Hudson got dragged into a little exercise herself - being pushed about by Lance’s daughters.

Nicole Richie at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas (7/5)

Sounds like Nicole Richie had a bit too much to drink Satureday night at boyfriend Joel Madden’s concert at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The new mom was involved in an “altercation” after the show. From TMZ:

Looks like baby Harlow hasn’t settled Nicole Richie’s wild side yet. We’re told Nicole was involved in an altercation around 1 AM this morning with a female while in line at the valet outside the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Sources say Richie was so rowdy she had to be escorted off the property by security! (Source)

If it took more than one security guard to drag her 54 pound ass away, it sounds like Nicole might be back on the smack. Because if Spring ‘03 taught me anything, it’s that a junkie fiending for heroin can instantly gain the stamina of three men . . . and then will sometimes use that stamina in a “home movie” shot by a guy named Terrance and his four male “friends” who promised not to put the 3 hour “documentary” on the internet as long as I didn’t cry but did anyway which made the whole thing not even worth the twenty bucks in the first place. *Clears throat* As I was saying, Nicole Richie’s ugly.

It was truly a banner weekend for celebrities in bikinis. Like the salmon of Capistrano, anyone that’s anyone donned a bikini and flocked to a body of water. Yes, even Kirstie Alley. I tried posting her pics earlier but after I hit “save” my computer started weeping. And then it kicked me and ran out the door. Alas, although she had had her name put in for consideration, Britney Spears was not officially nominated for an Emmy for her guest roles on How I Met Your Mother. Do you think it was just a matter of narrowing it down or do you suppose some people didn’t like the idea of a singer with a recently troubled past having a shot at an acting award? Hard to say.

I do still believe that regardless of whether she gets a little gold statue or not, being on the show was one of the things that kept her going when so many other things were turned upside down. Had she blown the role, it would have been another story, but Britney got some great reviews for the guest appearances, so I feel like it was the one lone positive thing in her public career that wasn’t short circuiting.

Besides, maybe she’ll re-appear next season and have a shot at that Emmy next time!
