told People magazine that as far as he’s concerned, is welcome back “any time” on How I Met Your Mother.

He said:

“The door is open for her. We would (guest stars) who get in the show’s world to stick around if they want to … but I don’t know what the writers have planned.”

Britney guest starred on two episodes this past season, playing Abby, a flaky receptionist who was Neil’s character, Barney. The end of her second episode left open possibilities of a return, depending on the executives and Brit herself.

Carter Bays, the show’s creator, also said that “She was lovely, and those two weeks were actually quite swell for us”.

Since the character of Abby was actually interested in Ted (played by Josh Radner), and Barney gave her Ted’s address at the end of the show, the possibilities of a triangle are definitely there. Britney seemed to be well received on the show, both by her fans and fans of the show, and she definitely seems to be good for the ratings since people tuned in out of curiosity, even if they had never seen the show before.

The writers would be crazy if they didn’t bring her back in at least a semi-recurring guest role!
