When it comes to VMA’s, Britney have had a handful of performances in the past decade some more memorable, others less memorable but following last year’s train wreck people seem to only remember the bad one and forget the good.

Well, Britney may have another shot at making things better and hitting the red carpet as a deserving artist in the upcoming VMA. She has been named in a long list of nominations for Best Female Video for her song and video Piece Of Me.

As we reported over the weekend, E! got an exclusive view of the video Britney Spears filmed for Madonna’s tour.

E! described the scene:

Britney, partially disguised by a gray hoodie, walks into the elevator. As she starts traveling upward, she seems particularly nervous and anxious. The popster starts pacing back and forth. Then she progresses to kicking and smacking the walls, all frantic-like. She screams into one of the cameras. Then she starts climbing the wall, pulls down her hood and, into another camera, says:”It’s Britney, bitch.”

About the video, a source recently told E! “The video will be very deep, You’ve never seen Britney like this before. It will blow your mind.”

Editing of the upcoming video with Britney Spears which was created for Maddona’s tour is not yet finished but bits and pieces of it have already leaked.

According to sources of USMag “She [was] shot in the elevator that is surrounded by seven cameras.”

“Britney walks into the elevator wearing a black hoodie, and you can’t see it’s her at first,” the source adds. “As the elevator goes up, it becomes clear it’s Britney and she’s anxious and nervous.”

Realizing she can’t get out, she “starts to kick the wall and hit things,” the source adds. “At one point she screams into the camera.”

Her parting shot? Spears, 26, takes off her hoodie, looks straight into the camera and says her infamous lyric: “It’s Britney, b-tch!”

The SUN (UK) released a confirmation that according to their sources, Britney shot a nude scene for the video as well.

Lastly, E! online says they have stills shots from the scene and that they will be releasing them early next week (Monday?).

Britney Spears finished filming the video piece for Madonna’s tour yesterday which included an entire day at the studio (Madonna was not present). This piece sounds exciting and it looks as if even Britney took the time to prepare and look her best.

Britney spent 4 hours getting her hair (& extensions) done and looked phenomenal!

On the video itself, the British Daily Mail says “it is an absolutely classic Madonna. Probably the raunchiest stuff she has ever done. It leaves nothing to the imagination and will be very controversial.”

“Britney and Madonna are unwrapped like mummies, to appear together almost naked apart from tiny leather bondage pants and knee-high boots…They then dance closely together, pressing their hands and bodies together.”

“There will be big rows over whether it is sexy, shocking or both.”

The last time we saw Britney Spears perform with Madonna was a long time ago, but how could we ever forget the unexpected kiss that happened in their song?

That’s right - everyone will remember the Britney-Madonna kiss forever because it was epic and completely unexpected.

The newest bit of gossip is that Britney may get “Sticky & Sweet” with Madonna all over again! (Oh come on, I couldn’t help it!) Allegedly, Madonna is hoping she can help get Britney’s life and career back on track by inviting her to be the opening act for her “Sticky & Sweet” tour. The “source” for The Sun said:

“They are recording a video together on Sunday that will provide the backdrop for part of Madonna’s show. And they are talking about Britney taking the stage on a few of the dates too. It’s hoped that Madonna can help Britney get back to her old self.”

I don’t know how true this is yet - a source and The Sun aren’t the most reliable in the world of media, but it’s exciting to think about. While there was a time that Britney was a big enough act to not need to open for someone else, there’s no doubt that touring with someone as big as Madonna would do wonders to help boost her career back up to the level it should be again.

Here’s hoping!

Seriously. That would be one hell of a tour!

She sparked rumors earlier this week when she stopped wearing her wedding ring, and last night on her way to a Kabbalah service, Madonna was still without her left ring finger adornment.

And it was a flurry of Madonna offspring outside the New York City Kabbalah center, as Carlos Leon brought his daughter Lourdes (Madonna’s eldest) to meet up with the “Like a Virgin” singer.

But they look so happy . . .

There’s been talk over the last few months that Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s seven-year marriage was falling apart and the two were on the verge of a split. A source revealed to UK tabloid the Daily Mirror that the rumors aren’t rumor: the two are definitley divorcing:

Madonna told Guy Ritchie she wants a divorce after the couple agreed they had fallen out of love. They admitted to each other that their seven-year marriage was doomed because they had simply drifted apart.

A friend said last night: “They were both very calm. Madonna told Guy: ‘I’m sorry, I want a divorce’. And he agreed. It was quite painless but very sad. [Guy’s] a bit down in the dumps, and who can blame him. He’s off to the country to get a bit of peace and quiet.”

Both parties have now talked to divorce lawyers to ensure that the break-up is orderly and as amicable as possible. Without a pre-nuptial agreement, Guy could be looking at up to £50million of Madge’s £300million fortune. (Source)

The most heartbreaking aspect of this whole divorce is that their son Rocco will now be forced to grow up in a broken home. I guess he better get used to asking one important question over and over and over and over again: “Excuse me mister, are you my new daddy?”

NOTE: Now that she’s no longer married to Guy, I wonder if Madonna will drop his last name . . . along with his accent?
